About us:

Kristine Battey is a licensed Physical Therapist, a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a Certified Athletic Trainer, and a CHEK Institute certified level one Holistic Lifestyle Coach. Kristine received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Chapman University and her BS in Athletic Training from Boise State University.

After five years of traditional physical therapy work, Kristine identified a need within the profession to practice pro-actively rather than reactively to ill health that could likely have been prevented through exercise and nutrition. Kristine has developed a more holistic practice with an emphasis on core conditioning, functional exercise, and nutrition. She combines physical therapy with personal training and holistic nutrition and lifestyle coaching to provide her clients with a skilled approach to fitness, injury rehabilitation, and the pursuit of a healthier, happier lifestyle.

Kristine has been a physical therapist for nine years and has a wide variety of experience including orthopedics and sports medicine, neuromuscular, cardiac, geriatrics, and vestibular/balance related rehabilitation.

Kristine is a Sandpoint native. She can be reached at 208-946-7072.

Ramona Caouette is a personal trainer and a new comer to Sandpoint Idaho. She comes to us from Southern California with her eleven years of experience of owning and running her own sports performance clinics and fitness businesses.

After graduating, Ramona stayed on at the university as a strength and conditioning coach, developing and training over 200 collegiate athletes.

Eager to return to California and pursue her own skills as an athlete, Ramona used her degree and worked in many training arenas. She trained a variety of clients from children's clinics, weight management, strength development, corporate clients, body shaping while teaching proper skills and technique development.

Along with expanding her training business (Impact Athletics) Ramona pursued her beach volleyball career on the AVP and was able to play around the United States and Puerto Rico. Her passion for healthy living and fitness inspires Ramona to continue helping her new clients in Sandpoint to reach their fitness goals.

Peter Mico has 10 years of Hatha yoga experience in the Iyenger tradition. He has studied with Manusco Manos, Rodney Yee and Erich Schiffmann. Peter began yoga as a remedy for numerous sports and work related injuries, including severe back ailments. Through Hatha yoga Peter has not only found relief from these disabling problems but has found renewed strength and vitality in all aspects of his life. Peter's classes are fun as well as informational.

Darlene Dibble has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. She is a registered yoga teacher and has taught in Sandpoint, Hope and Heron, MT. for the past 10 years. She has studied with many teachers across the country, who live and embody their yoga.

She believes that yoga is an experience that enables you, through awareness, to merge yourself deeper into the realms of that inner core of your beauty. She also believes that your body is comprised of energy that must be kept open and integrated with the breath and spirit in order for health and happiness to exist. The physical benefits of this integration are increased through strength, flexibility, balance and an abiding calm.

She offers to her students the alignment principles of the asanas, guided meditation and pranayama, along with her enthusiastic yogic spirit of compassion and steadfastness.

Melanie Jerome - After years of practicing many types of dance, yoga, sports, and martial arts, Melanie’s passion for people, movement and play have led her to teaching.  She is trained and certified as a Yoga instructor and Blue Belt Nia instructor (currently working towards her brown.)  She draws her inspiration from her teachers, textbooks, nature, music, and most importantly sensation.   She is committed to practicing and teaching “ahimsa” (non-violence), teaching students to seek pleasure in the body in order to find healing.  Melanie brings a playful spirit and a sense of humor to her classes as well as focus and discipline to create a fun, athletic experience touching on a wide range of sensations and emotions.  Every class will have a theme and will focus on conscious breathing and proper alignment.  Yoga classes include an ever changing sequence of postures and always end in relaxation.  Melanie loves working with all ages and fitness abilities within any class and offers natural and innovative ways to learn steps and ease into postures.  She believes our process to be a shared journey in which we’re all students and all teachers which lends to a mutually supportive, loving environment.
